Don't Read This Book (a Tiger Tales book review)
Upon reading the title of this book, Nathan said "This is going to be interesting." He was right. This book is full of zany, fun loving characters. There's a conceited king, his royal storyteller and beloved well known fairy tale characters. Nathan was hooked from the minute we read the title....Don't Read This Book (by Jill Lewis). He immediately wanted to know why he couldn't read it.
The book shares the fun tale of a king who wants a story and he wants to be the main character. The handsome and intelligent main character. The storyteller has lost most of the pages to the book and the king and storyteller set out in search of the missing pages. They run into some fun loving fairy tale characters along the way. The king keeps warning everyone not to read the book....I guess he wants to read the story first. They never really say why you shouldn't read the book, but I guess kids don't really care about the why....they just love doing something that they were told not to do, if you know what I mean? LOL!
Cute book....Nathan gives it 2 thumbs up and Nicholas loved it too. It's one of their "go to" books night after night.
