Barefoot Books Review & GIVEAWAY

I was recently asked to do a review for Barefoot Books.  Since you all know my love of children's books, I jumped all over the opportunity.

From their website....."Barefoot Books began with two mothers who wanted their children to have books that would feed the imagination, while instilling a respect for diversity and a love of the planet. Today, we are a world-wide community of writers, artists, storytellers, musicians, and others who are committed to providing timeless stories and captivating art that can help children become happy, engaged members of a global society."

Barefoot Books, whose motto is - Explore. Imagine. Create. Connect. Give Back. - has not only a huge selection of books to chose from, but also an activity section for kids which includes printouts of children's activities that coincide with their many book options.  They also have Podcast Storytimes and fun digital videos, such as The Animal Boogie and Driving My Tractor.  These videos can also be found on the Podcast on iTunes and on YouTube.

There is also an ambassador program for any moms (or dads) interested in selling Barefoot Books as a way of earning an extra income or fundraising for their child's school by selling children's books.

I was sent two books for review, the first was The Barefoot Book of Pirates by Richard Walker, Olwyn Whelan and Richard Hope.  This book is filled with pirate adventures and tales from The Captain's Goose (Scandinavian) to The Ship of Bones (Moroccan).  My boys loved learning about all the different pirates from around the world.

The second book is We're Sailing Down the Nile, A Journey Through Egypt by Laurie Krebs and Anne Wilson.  This book is another adventurous tale of life centered around the Nile River.

With so many fun features and book titles, Barefoot Books is sure to become a family favorite website in your house.  With summer vacations coming around the corner, you may want to stock up now on all your favorite books today.  Books are a great form of entertainment during the summer months and long car trips to your vacation destination.   Go Live Barefoot Today!

  7. I really like Baby's First Book. I have so many books for toddler to Lucas' age but don't really have that many baby books and Ryder really seems to like when I read to him.
