I LOVE making rag wreaths. They are super cheap to make and a great way to use up extra fabric. I made this little cutie with a wire hanger, and red, white and blue fabric. I also used red, white and blue, plus some star ribbon to hang it up. I thought this would be a perfect wreath to place on our front door to celebrate Memorial Day, as well as the Fourth of July.
*One day, I'm going to master bow making....I swear!
Either that or I'm buying one of those bow making machine things they sell at Walmart, LOL!
So so cute!!! I want to make one!
ReplyDeleteI have to learn how to make a rag wreath. This is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletea49erfangirl,
ReplyDeleteIt is so super easy to make a rag wreath. The hardest part is bending the wire hanger, if you choose to use one. I have also made them using other wreath forms.
Just cut strips of fabric into however long you need (for the wire hanger, I think I cut mine to about 5 inches or so, more or less, about an inch wide. Then tie the fabric strips in knots around the wreath or hanger.
Super easy!
You can use a solid color, or several colors or coordinating patterns of fabric...the possiblities are endless.
