I have enjoyed every single week of this link party.

I love looking at everyone's projects

It's been so much fun.

I'm so thankful to everyone who has...

 participated

shared this link

posted my button

and have come back each week

On that note,

Let's get the party started......

Adventures In Mommy Land

here's what We did this week....

We read the story

Limelight Larry by Leigh Hodgkinson

Limelight Larry is the best book ever, simply because it's all about Larry.  At least Larry thinks it should be all about him.  He gets mad when everyone keeps trying to get on the pages and thinks the book only has room for one star - him.

Page after page, he gets more competition for the limelight when his friends keep showing up.

Finally, Larry has had enough and kicks everyone out of the book.

He takes that moment to show his stuff.

But, he soon realizes that there's no fun in showing off, if no one is around to see it.

We love Limelight Larry

At least twice a week Nathan pulls this book off the shelf for me to read to him.

We did two projects using this book

Our first was painting a picture of Limelight Larry.

(Nathan's "Larry" painting)

For the second craft, we used a sheet of scrapbook paper, tissue paper, part of a craft kit, oak tag paper, a pipe cleaner and glue.

I found this kit at Walmart last year in the clearance aisle and picked it up for a rainy day

I forgot I had it until I cleaned out the craft closet and saw it.

I cut a body out of the scrapbook paper and we glued the feathers, beak and eyes (from the kit) to the body.

I cut a feathery/wing shape out of the oak tag and Nathan glued tissue paper squares to it.

We made legs and feet using the pipe cleaner and we stapled and glued them to the oak tag.

Nathan glued the body to the feather/wings

Nathan's Larry...

So cute!

(*Disclosure - I received this book for review purposes, the opinions herein are my own and were not influenced by Tiger Tales in any way)
