Yesterday, I wrapped up my 45th week on Nutrisystem.
I don't have a clue how I'm doing it...cause the scale hasn't really budged much in weeks. And I really can't 'see' it for myself, but I am currently wearing a size 6. Replacing fat with muscle??? since muscle weighs more than fat? I haven't been this size since high school, but I weigh more...weird!!
Nathan said something super sweet the other day...but then most of the time he does.
He said...Mommy has always been the prettiest, but she's even prettier now that she's happy.
How weird that when we are in the midst of something, that we don't notice certain things about ourselves...or maybe we just ignore them and pretend that those things don't exist. Maybe we choose not to see it, because it makes us even more depressed and sad...I don't know.
But when the people around you start seeing it and believe in you...you can't help but see it too. And it really does feels pretty damn good.
My biggest piece of advice would be this....Don't get caught up with a number on the scale. It's so easy to see other people's numbers going down and getting depressed when your 'number' isn't moving.
It's hard sometimes, in this world of now.
Everyone wants everything NOW.
We expect results at the snap of our fingers.
and life isn't like that.
We need to slow down and savor every bit and every single minute.
When you slow down, you discover things about yourself that you never knew.
you learn that you are stronger than you think
you learn that you are in control of your own destiny
you learn that you control how much food you eat and put on your plate
you learn just what your body is capable of doing
you learn about will power, strength, determination.
and most of all, you discover something that matters the most....you.
