Fun Lunch Idea

I made these pizza roll ups for the kids' lunch today.

They were actually pretty tasty.

All you need is some refrigerated crescent rolls, sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni (I used the minis, because they were cute).

Place a spoonful of sauce on the crescent.

Sprinkle some cheese and pepperoni on top.

Fold over the small end and tuck it under.

Bake at 350* for about 15 minutes.

I made someting like this a few months ago, using pizza dough from a can...rolled up into a "log". I used turkey pepperoni, too, so it wasn't quite so sinful...and it was really pretty good. I'll bet your kiddos liked the hand-held nature of those crescent rolls, though, and those mini pepperonis are very cute. :)

Yum!!!!! I can't believe I never thought to do this myself! My kids would probably love it!!

Do you mind if I use this sometime in my Macaroni Kid newsletter??? Again, you have such fun ideas!!!

I tried to make pizza pockets using crescent rolls a while back but they didn't turn out so well. Couldn't get the seams to stay closed but your idea looks so much easier. I say we will be trying them for a Saturday lunch for sure.
