My mom sent this one...

I've always wondered about this myself. Now I know.

The Silent Generation - people born before 1946.

The Baby Boomers - people born between 1946 and 1959.

Generation X - people born between 1960 and 1979.

Generation Y - people born between 1980 and 1995.

Why do we call the last one generation Y?

I did not know, but a caricaturist explains it eloquently below.

I think I've seen that broken down before but with different dates. The only reason that I remember that is because Bones and I are now both X'ers, according to that chart. If I remember this correctly, we weren't the same before??? Then again, I could be totally wrong...LOL!

I think they did change the dates, because I remember Rich was at the bottom (or is that the top) of the baby boomers generation before. He was born in 1967.

Oh well, just thought the joke was cute, since we see so many cracks from that generation - which would lead to a different post on the subject.
